Serge Ibaka & Oklahoma City Thunder Agree On Four-Year Extension

It looks like the core pieces of the Oklahoma City Thunder will be together for a few more years. According to very popular Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports, Serge Ibaka and the Thunder have agreed to a four-year extension worth $48 million. Now with Ibaka, Kevin Durant, and Russell Westbrook locked in for the next few season, the Thunder may now look to find a way to keep Sixth Man of the Year, James Harden. Harden, who had a chance to test free agency this off season, decided to stay with the team but will become a free agent next summer and is rumored to be looking for a max contract, something the Thunder cannot offer him.

Tyrann Mathieu Enters Drug Rehab; Will Not Play Football In 2012

After being kicked off the LSU football team for violating team rules, it was believed that the 2011 Heisman Trophy finalist cornerback, Tyrann Mathieu, would transfer schools, preferably in a lower division, in order to play this year. Well, it looks like Tyrann will not be transferring and will not be playing football this year. According to the good folks at USA Today, the "Honey Badger" has checked into Houston's Right Step drug rehabilitation facility and will not play football during the 2012 season.
Some would think that Tyrann should have transferred but I think this was the right move. He still has two years left of eligibility and taking a year off to get his mind and body right is a smart move. He can treat this as a red-shirt year, do the rehab, continue going to school at LSU, and still come back next year with LSU and still be one of the top players in the nation. Tyrann also has NBA great John Lucas as his mentor.

The Return of Derrick Rose (Video)
"D.Rose has redefined the game since entering the league. What's inside him, can't be stopped. From his Belief, Hope, Focus, Push and Drive, he is all in for #TheReturn. Join this episodic journey documenting his inevitable return to the game." - adidas BasketballI hate the Chicago Bulls and I think Rajon Rondo is a better PG but even I can't deny how much D.Rose has changed the game of basketball. Never like to see any player deal with a serious injury so I hope Rose can bounce back and claim his title as the second best PG in the NBA (behind Rondo). Check out after the jump to hear Rose talk about is torn ACL.
'NBA 2K13' Will Include '92 Dream Team

For all of you fantasizing about who would win between the 1992 Olympic team and the 2012 Olympic team, you can now live out your dreams on your video game console. ESPN has reported that 2K Sports has acquired the licensing rights to the 1992 Olympic Dream Team with legends like Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Patrick Ewing, and Larry Bird. The 2012 Olympic team will also be featured in the video game for the first time which means some of the debate can be put to rest with the help of artificial intelligence. Jay-Z, who is the executive producer for the game, has finally convinced Charles Barkley, who was not a part of last year’s "NBA Greatest" mode, to jump aboard this year. Unfortunately, if you are looking to play with Scottie Pippen, you will be disappointed. Pippen, who's not a member of the NBA Retired Players Association, could not come to terms with 2K Sports so he will not be in the game.

John Salley Says Michael Jordan Isn't The Greatest Basketball Player of All-Time (Video)
I can understand John Salley saying Micheal Jordan wasn't the greatest but not making the top 5 may be reaching it. Does Salley make any sense with his statement with his top 5 without MJ?

Carmelo Anthony Feels He Was Labeled "Selfish" During Linsanity

Many have called Knicks forwards Carmelo Anthony a selfish player. Since coming to New York, he's had issues playing with Amar'e Stoudemire, blamed for the firing of former coach Mike D'Antoni, couldn't play with former Knicks point guard Jeremy Lin, and has been criticized for not being a team player. In a recent interview with USA Today, Carmelo talks about being blamed for everything that goes wrong with the Knicks and how it all started with the emergence of Jeremy Lin's success.
"Let's be frank about it," Melo says. "When it comes to the Knicks, we're talking about one particular point in time. We're talking about the whole 'Linsanity' thing. That's when it started. That's when it started to escalate as far as people saying I was selfish."

Ochocinco Changes His Name Back to Chad Johnson

Now that he is married, Chad Ochocinco has spent the $401 to officially change his name back to Chad Johnson. The move came earlier today at the Broward County Courthouse in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Hopefully the new name comes with some new changes on the field. Since the name change, Chad has had a significant drop in production on the field. Since the change, Chad has averaged only 52 receptions and 674 receiving yards a year and was traded by the Bengals and cut from the Patriots. Before the name change, Chad was a Pro Bowl wide receiver who averaged 80 catches and 1,195 receiving yards a year.

Days before his fight Danny Garcia, Amir Khan called out Floyd Mayweather saying how much he could beat him. Well, maybe Khan should have focused less on Floyd and more on his fight with Garcia. In only 4 rounds, Garcia dominated the favorited Khan, knocking him down 3 times in a huge upset victory.
